What Data We Access
Revenue Shield accesses the following data from your Shopify store:
- Order data — To collect evidence for chargeback disputes
- Customer data — Email and name for recovery communications
- Subscription data — To detect failed payments
- Dispute data — To track and respond to chargebacks
- Shipping/Fulfillment data — For chargeback evidence
What We Store
We store minimal data necessary to provide our service:
- Failed payment records (customer email, amount, status)
- Dispute records (order ID, reason, evidence data)
- Recovery link click tracking
- Aggregated analytics (recovery rates, dispute outcomes)
Data Retention
- Payment failure records: 90 days
- Dispute records: 1 year (for reporting)
- All data deleted within 48 hours of app uninstall
Third-Party Sharing
We do NOT sell or share your data with third parties for marketing. Data is only shared with:
- Email service providers (to send recovery emails on your behalf)
- Shopify (when submitting dispute evidence)
